What is the Student Association?

As a student, you are automatically part of the Student Association.

Our activities are made possible through your voluntary contribution of CHF 20.- during semester registration. Thank you for your support!

The Student Association has a variety of responsibilities that help to foster exchange and collaboration between students and the Institute:

• Representation of Interests:
  • Discussing and forwarding student concerns, questions, and requests to the institute management.
  • Participating in meetings with the program and study directors, program committees, and accredited analysts (with voting rights).
• Point of Contact:
  • Supporting and answering inquiries from prospective students.
• Communication:
  • Acting as a liaison between students and the institute’s administration.
  • Maintaining and updating this student website.
• Administration:
  • Managing the bank account and budget of the Student Association.
• Student Space:
  • Maintaining and managing the student room on the top floor of the institute in Küsnacht.
• Networking:
  • Promoting exchanges with students from other institutions, such as ISAP (www.isapzurich.com).
  • Planning group outings to locations such as Bollingen.

Opportunities for Interaction and Exchange

The institute offers many opportunities for inspiring encounters – during lectures, seminars, in the hallways, in the garden, or by the lake.

On the second floor, you’ll also find the student room with a lake view. This space is available for eating, drinking, talking, studying, or relaxing. It is equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine, a computer, a printer, tables, chairs, sofas, and a bulletin board.

How Can I Become Involved?

Each semester there is an online meeting that all students are invited to where current Student Association Representatives will provide an update on activities and some news from the Institute. Students may put themselves forward for election and be appointed to the Student Association during one of these semesterly meetings.

We currently meet online about once a month to advance the items we are working on, and in person during semester time if possible. Members typically have areas of interest – eg exchanges, website, correspondence, treasury, etc, and we welcome interested students to come with their ideas and energy.
